Medical Cannabis Card Holders Can Grow Cannabis
Did you know that one of the perks of being a Medical Cannabis patient in WA State is that you can grow and produce your own Cannabis products? Whether its flower for traditional use or oils for topicals and edibles, you are in control of your strains and quality of production!
Many of our patients have honed the skill it takes to be their own cultivators, allowing them to use what works best for their care as well as saving money on purchases.

Rules & Regulations
The Department of Health has an abundance of information on how much a Medical Cannabis Card holder can grow and carry, but here are some quick facts:
- Medical Patients can grow up to 15 plants maximum producing maximum of 16 ounces.
- 15 plants is the maximum per household unless they have filed as a cooperative with the state. The maximum caps out at 15 plants per patient up to 4 patients = 60 plants total.
- Can't grow your own plants at your home? Medical cannabis patients can appoint a Designated Provider to grow their plants for them, same rules apply.
